JAAKLAC iniciativa, centered on Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), is coordinated in collaboration with young people, educators, and civil society organizations to create and promote resources on critical digital education. Causas Digitales was developed by JAAKLAC to bring together youth from across LAC to take action for their rights and inspire digital innovation. JAAKLAC iniciativa and Causas Digitales have partnered with Tactical Tech's youth initiative in 2021 and 2022, focused on localizing and adapting the Data Detox x Youth resource through co-creation with young people.

Detox de Datos Latinx

Detox de Datos Latinx is a social media campaign and project that aims to provide a platform for young people in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to educate their peers about data and technology. Led by JAAKLAC Iniciativa, youth representatives from Causas Digitales, and in collaboration with young designers, schools, youth groups and other organisations in the region, this campaign ran co-creation workshops and reconceptualised the Data Detox x Youth resource into a social media campaign about, for, and with young people.

Saga Detox de Datos Latine

Saga Detox de Datos Latine is a continuation of the work that began with Detox de Datos Latinx in the previous year. This time, they invited digital rights and cybersecurity activists from across the region to work together with youth organizations and educational organizations in order to develop the resource. They ran workshops focusing on co-creation. The results are creative and visually mesmerizing visuals and stories which engage readers into the topics of privacy, security, and wellbeing in unique and memorable ways.
